Jackfruit is the summer fruit. Fruits are full of nutrients, have a delicious aroma, and a flavor that makes you think of warm weather. The plant known as Jackfruit or Kathal (Artocarpus Heterophyllus) most likely came from the Western Ghats of India.

A tropical perennial fruit tree is the Jackfruit tree. The small branches that emerge from the trunk and older branches of this plant bear the flowers.

This bizarre-looking object has up to 500 seeds and a very thick, rubbery skin with small, blunt spikes. Fruit weighs about 35 pounds on average. The Jackfruit tree has an extremely long tap-root and produces opalescent, sticky latex from all areas of the tree.
