Grown as a houseplant in tropical regions like India, Thailand and Philippines numerous hybrids of Adenium Obesum have been developed. As a long lived plant Adeniums are appreciated for their colorful flowers and thick caudices. They can be grown for in a pot and are commonly used for bonsai.

There are several other names associated with it like “Sabi Star, Kudu, Mock Azalea, Impala Lily & Desert-rose. Adeniums are easy to grow in humid regions but if few precautions are taken, these can also thrives in cool and wet climates.
