Anthurium is a genus of herbs mostly growing on other plants as epiphytes. Its flowers are beautiful and the leaves are often clustered and variable in size. It contains spirals which looks like a hood on flowers. more common names include anthurium, tailflower, flamingo flower, and laceleaf.

Anthurium lants need a highly organic soil mix with good water retention properties and good drainage. To prevent the rotting of stems and roots you need a well drained soil.
